Thank you for being part of Vision Quilt’s journey!
Dear Vision Quilt Community,
As we bring 2024 to a close, we want to take a moment to thank you. Whether you volunteered your time, made a donation, or partnered with us to prevent gun violence, you’ve made an impactful difference! In the spirit of a new year, here is a Proclamation for Peace.

A Proclamation for Peace:
Whereas the world is a house on fire;
Whereas the nations are filled with
shouting;
Whereas hope seems small, sometimes
a single bird on a wire
left by migration behind.
Whereas kindness is seldom in the news
and peace an abstraction
while war is real;
Whereas my words are all I have;
Whereas my life is short;
Whereas I am afraid;
Whereas I am free—despite all
fire and anger and fear;
Be it therefore resolved a song
shall be my calling—a song
not yet made shall be vocation
and peaceful words the work
of my remaining days.

THE GROWING VISION QUILT
PANEL OF THE MONTH
We Can All Make A Difference
I chose to paint a tree because I love nature, and I put fabric hands as the leaves to represent everybody making a difference. I put a quote that hopefully will inspire others to put their hands in and make a difference. I chose this message because I have heard many people say that one person can’t make a difference, but I want to prove them wrong. We can all make a difference.

CONTRIBUTE TO VISION QUILT’S YEAR END DRIVE
Every day, children hear gunshots and wake up in fear, while families across the U.S. mourn the tragic loss of loved ones to gun violence. It doesn’t have to be this way—you can be part of the solution. By supporting Vision Quilt’s Year-End Drive, you’ll help fund workshops and programs that empower communities to create lasting change through art and dialogue. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to make this impact possible in 2025. Join us in preventing gun violence!
Donate and help build safer, stronger communities!

Creating Visionaries, Storytellers, and Community Activists Addressing Gun Violence

The trauma-informed curriculum is free for educators, community centers and museums to use and/or adopt to their students and communities nationwide. We believe this curriculum is a key solution to the escalation of gun violence in our country and to addressing the trauma youth, teachers and families are experiencing all too frequently.
GET INVOLVED
