We Regret
This panel was born on reflecting what it might feel like to be on the receiving end of this visit. As a middle class white woman, my losses to gun violence have been through suicide. I have never known what it might be like to worry about your child making it home safe and alive simply because of the color of their skin. That form of terror is one I will never experience. Sitting with these shades of color, my heart goes out to the mothers, fathers and caregivers who have lost children in this horrific manner. I am honored to have a panel to contribute to this mission intended to continue our collective work and conversation around systemic racism and gun violence in America.
